FREE RELEASE!

This is volume 1 of 2 in a compilation series called ALT, full of alternate and alternative versions of tracks from past releases.

These versions were actually created before the previously released ones, so they are technically not remixes in the standard sense, even though the previously releases ones became the "originals," so to speak. It's because the transition to synthpop in 2018 hadn't been finalized yet at the time.

As a result, these tracks were sitting around collecting dust, so why not release them? Granted, Nox Nave is more known for synthpop and dark electronica, but there was no reason to create a new artist name for this two-volume series.

Another reason to release these tracks is to give me extra time to record and produce a new synthpop album. There is absolutely new original music for 2022, and there are also more releases this year than usual, so that's plenty of tracks to listen to. However, we will see what happens with the return to synthpop, depending on inspiration!

Regarding tracks from MONSTRUM not being included in the ALT series, since all other past releases took part in it, it's because there already is a separate alternate/alternative version of the album that's shelved on my flash drive. Given the oddly specific and unique theme and lyrical content, it deserves to be on its own. It's a full album's length, too, but with fewer tracks than the released one, and the sounds are a bit more orchestral but still avant-garde. It was going to be the original under a different artist name, which was created in 2012, but after years of delaying it, I came up with the synthpop result that was ultimately released, which I personally prefer. I'm not sure if and when I'll release the alt version, though.
